Refunds
Last updated 14 September 2026
The short version
If you are unhappy with CamyCal for any reason within 14 days of a charge, tell us and we will refund it. No questions, no form, no reason needed. That applies to your first payment and to every renewal.
Today there is nothing to refund
CamyCal is free while it is in early access. No payment is taken, no card details are collected, and there is no subscription to cancel. We will tell account holders by email before charging starts, so nobody is charged by surprise.
How to ask
Email [email protected] from the address on your account, and say you would like a refund. That is the whole process. We will confirm within a few business days, and refund to the card or account you paid with. Your bank decides how long it takes to appear — usually a few days, sometimes longer for an international card.
If you cannot get into your account to find the address, email us anyway and tell us which one you used.
Cancelling
- You can cancel at any time. You keep access until the end of the period you have already paid for, and you are not charged again.
- The annual plan is charged once for twelve months and renews annually. Cancelling mid-year stops the next renewal; it does not by itself refund the current year, but the 14-day guarantee above covers the charge if you ask within 14 days of it.
- If you cancel because the service did not do what it was supposed to, that is a consumer guarantee matter rather than a cancellation — see below, and tell us.
Your rights are not affected by this policy
Our services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. Nothing on this page replaces, limits or delays them.
- If there is a major failure — the service is not fit for its purpose, or is substantially different from how it was described — you can cancel and get a refund, and you may also be entitled to compensation for other reasonably foreseeable loss.
- If the failure is minor, you are entitled to have the problem fixed, and we may re-supply the service rather than refund it.
- These rights are separate from the 14-day guarantee above, they last longer than 14 days, and they apply whether or not you have asked for anything within that window.
If you are in the EU, the UK or Switzerland, you also have a 14-day right of withdrawal from the moment you subscribe, and you can use it by sending the email above — no reason is required. Our 14-day guarantee is intended to give you exactly that, without any of the steps a business is otherwise entitled to ask you to take.
Where we would say no
Rarely, and never to take away a right. The two cases:
- Repeated cycling. Somebody subscribing, using the service for a fortnight and refunding on a loop, over and over. The guarantee exists so that trying CamyCal carries no risk; it is not a way to use it for free indefinitely. We will talk to you before refusing anything.
- A charge already refunded. A duplicate request, or a refund already issued — we will show you the record rather than simply declining.
Neither of these limits a consumer guarantee or a statutory right of withdrawal, and neither applies to a first request.
If you paid by card and want to dispute it
Please email us first. A chargeback usually takes longer than asking us, and our records make a refund straightforward. If you would rather go to your bank, that is your right, and it does not affect anything else.
